Hi,

My WRGBII 120 suddenly started with flickering green light outside of the "on" hours.
Also when the light is on it has a small flickering in it.

But the worrying part is the flickering when its "off".
What could be the problem of this?
Green led on the powerbrick is steady

Bluetooth part doesnt have a LED or other indicator.
Both are still very hot by the way (see my older post about this) but that was "normal".

Please follow below steps to test:
1. In the app switch to Manual mode, press the “Off” button, could the flickering light be turned off?
2. In the app switch to Manual mode, press the “All” button, take a clear photo of the whole led beads panel. Unplug the light, take a clear photo of the whole led beads panel.

1: When i press the off button the green light stays on.
2: Done. Noticed when i plugged the light back in it turns green but again i cant turn it off via the app. It says all at 0% but its still green.

3: light is also up-to-date regarding firmware.

4: flickering itself happens after x minutes/hours. Also when the light is off for x hours (for example during evening/night) and then it jumps to green and starts flickering green. So i have to unplug it to make it stop (and so i can sleep again without worrying again the lights starts acting weird).

5: some extra info:
When i turn up green to full 100% its also flickering slightly. Not on/off flickering but you can see/notice it with eyes its not a "solid" colour light.
When i turn up red 100% its not red but more orange/yellow (guess because of the still available green next to it). But no flickering.
When i turn blue 100% its not full blue but more turquoise (guess because of the still available green next to it). But no flickering.

It could be a problem of the bluetooth controller.
When it's powered off, the photo is not clear, need to take a clear photo of all led beads. We need to check if the led beads panel has problem.

thx.

Took the light of the hanging kit so i could slide out the diffuser panel to make the photos.
Couldnt find anything wrong with the leds itself (as far isi can tell). So i hope its just the controller itself.

I had a similar problem with my WRGB PRO2. When it started it would happen during sun rise and sunset transitions. The red LED’s would turn on and sometimes flash on and off. At first, turning it off for a while fixed it. Then, it would happen even when off randomly with red, blue, and green. After troubleshooting, I discovered that despite the drip loop, condensation had gotten into the water- resistant connector on the Bluetooth controller. Corrosion had built up and caused multiple random shorts. I ordered a new controller and cleaned the contacts in the light’s connector with 99.9% technical grade alcohol and a fine horse hair brush. (Looks like a tiny paint brush.) Anyway, after cleaning and installing the new controller all works as intended now. It’s worth checking because the connector on my light’s wasn’t visibly wet on the outside.
