Firmware wont download

I installed a new rgb vivid 2 PCB and Bluetooth controller (both 10th edition) on my old rgb vivid to stop it from glowing red when off.

The fan will operate, but the lights do not come on. I am being prompted to download the new firmware, but it will not download on the app.

@Administrator can you please send me the firmware update?

If it’s always 0%, there is no firmware update, just an app showing bug.
Just ignore the update.

Does it matter which of the two colored wires are connected to which side of the port?

The fan works, so I have power, but the lights are not responding. Why do theblights not work?

Also the little tab that I press to release the wire was very brittle and it broke. Any tricks for getting the wire out when the tab is missing?

In case anyone reads this in the future, and is not mechanically inclined like me...

I realized the PCB board has + and - labeled for each color. It is very, very small print and you need to hold it in bright light to see it. The + and - for each color on the PCB board must be inserted into the + and - on for the same color on the LED board.
