WRGB 2 Pro won't connect in app since update to v2.8.17

Looking for help reconnecting my WRGB2 light in the MyChihiros app. Since the update to v2.8.17, the app is unable to connect to the light (note that I am using the app on an iphone). Older threads say to turn on location services but this version of the app doesn't even appear in the list of apps requesting location services.
 
Delete the light from Device list page, unplug the bluetooth controller for a few minutes, plug back in to search.
 
Do you use a Wifi Hub or Wifi Hub Pro?
Download an app nRF Connect to scan all the devices, take screenshots of all devices it finds from the Scanner page.

I don't have a Wifi Hub or Wifi Hub Pro.

There are a lot of devices listed when I use nRF Connect. Is there something I should look for to indicate a WRGB2 PRO?

I setup an old Chihiros cooling fan and confirmed that I can control that product through my currently installed version of the app.

Take screenshots of all the devices with prefix "D" it finds from Scanner page.
 
Check if there is a tiny light on the bluetooth controller.
I don't see any devices prefixed with a "D" on the scanner page in the nRF Connect app.

I also don't see any lights on the bluetooth controller. It looks like there is a small pinhole in the casing (on the opposite side of the screwholes) but there is no light coming from there even when the light is plugged in

So it could be a problem of the bluetooth controller.
If it's within 1 year warranty you can ask the seller to replace one.
