I have been using Chihiros for over a year now. Started with lights and moved on to other products.
What I realised is that the products are for solo hobbyists and not for hobbyists in general home environment.
The way Chihiros locks app login and device usage to single user, simply makes it impossible for more than one person to oversee a tank. Even basics as turning off heater or light so that a partner at home can do maintenance is not possible.
In fact, my aquarium has become less family friendly because of the app login and designs done by Chihiros. I thought with WiFi hub things may become different, but that’s not the case too.
If Chihiros spent even half the effort on their software like they did in their hardware, they will become the one and only choice in this hobby.
