I am experiencing a problem with the needle valve adjustment on a Chihiros CO2 Regulator Pro Limited Edition.
I initially set up the regulator onto a CO2 cylinder, finding correct pressures on cylinder valve, pressure adjustment knob and needle valve.
On my Chihiros app, I then scheduled the co2 and lighting to turn on and off in sequence.
This worked just fine until I returned the next day. There was no co2 being released even though the solenoid had switched on.
I tried adjusting the needle valve, and kept turning the valve with no effect on the drop frequency. The valve eventually unscrewed completely, after which the valve opened up completely and the bubble counter rushed bubbles into the tube at high rates. I screwed the needle valve back in and was able to adjust the flow down to 1-2 drops per second again.
I thought this was an isolated incident, but it is now my only way of using the regulator. The solenoid valve switches on, after which I have to completely unscrew the needle valve and screw it back in to get any gas going through the valve.
Can you offer any possible explanation for what could be happening?
