Hi, I've recently been using the heater pro (us plug) for my 30cm cube and have set the wattage limit to around 40-50w but have noticed a constant overheat/very fast heating after waterchanges. Ive confirmed that the issue is that no matter what wattage I set the limit to, it will use around 570 watts no matter what. When plugged into my ups, the fault light triggers whenever it is in heating mode because it is using too much power. On both the app and unit itself, the set wattage limit is displayed correctly but current watt useage on the app is around 570 whenever it powers on. Ive attached an image on the app that shows even with an 8 watt limit, it will still heat with 571 watts and trigger my ups fault alarm.

You can delete the device then search again in the app to reset.
If not help, take a screenshot of the Device Information page which includes device ID Number and Firmware Version.

Technicinas reviewed your settings from our lab and there is no problem.
They said you can test it with AC not UPS. US version is 100-120V.

Ive since used it in a normal surge protector but its still heating quite fast, no matter setting it to 8 watts, 50 watts, or even 100 watts. My older 50 watt heater takes at least a few minutes to start heating the water up a couple degrees but this one heats 1-2 degrees in a few seconds. Both my digital thermometer and the heater’s built in temp reader show this jump in temperature whenever the heater is on.

So when you use normal 100-120V AC the adapter still shows around 570 watts no matter what you set?
You can record a video: plug in the power supply, set the settings, see the watts.

I don’t see an option to add a video as it only allows me to attach photos so here is an icloud link if it works. If it does not, how do I add a video here? https://share.icloud.com/photos/0573fLPgkIilFxIW7egkgPPYg
In the video I plugged in the heater right after a water change, watt limit still ignored (app says 580 watts) and you can see with my external thermometer the temp increases from 23.5-23.7 in under a minute so I would have to assume it is not using my set watt limit of 48.

If you don't have a power meter, technicians said you can record a video: Plug out the 100-120V power supply, then plug back in, next put the phone and Heater Pro together, they'll check the datas.

I found this thread while searching on this same issue.

After reading it, I made the following observation: I think the heater implementation in the app is just buggy. The app always shows power between 530 and 550W regardless of the set max power. On the other hand, the LED panel on the unit front always shows the correct set power. So the "current power" value never changes but the unit is responding to changes. I assume that this means the LED display is the correct value.

Is your Heater Pro the US version?
The local voltage is 110v?
