Heater Pro freezes?

I received my Heater Pro (US version) today and noticed some unusual behavior:

  • The initial setup and connection worked fine, and the heater functions as expected through the app.
  • After some time, the Bluetooth icon on the heater’s display turns off, and I can no longer connect to the device unless I restart it.
  • The heater also seems to freeze—the displayed temperature doesn’t change, and it doesn’t appear to be operating, even as the outside temperature changes ( temperature doesn't get updated, the light bar is always green and power consumption is always at 0 watts).
  • When I restart the heater, the temperature updates (and is lower than before the restart), Bluetooth reconnects, and the heater begins working again.
  • But after some time, the Bluetooth icon turns off, and the same issues recur.

Is this normal behavior? It doesn’t seem like it, and I’d appreciate your guidance.

PS: I've made a video as well, to show how temperature changes after device restart. The temperature immediately drops by 1 degree Celsius.

PPS: OK. And just to add more details. The heater now seems to be frozen again, but this time, the Bluetooth icon is now constantly on (not blinking). I am NOT able to connect to the heater from the app, and it is grayed out in the app. Doesn't show up in the list of bluetooth devices as well.

And to add to that, I took the last picture last night, woke up in the morning, the display was still stuck at the very same numbers.
I restarted the heater, and the temp display dropped to 23 immediately.
I guess it was a good idea to put my back heater for the night, otherwise I might've woken up to an aquarium full of dead fish :( (it's getting pretty cold at night in my place)

To add to the details, it looks like the device can just freeze in any state at all. Today, I had it frozen on both "green" and "orange" states, wattage being non-zero as well. Just sitting there, with nothing on display changing for hours. The bluetooth mark could be on, or it could be off. Looks like just freezes that can occur at random times at all.

Following up on this. It's been 6 hours on version 2 of the firmware, and the heater is working as expected, properly adjusting water temperature and not freezing anymore. App connection is also fast and stable.

Considering that I had freezes at most every 2 hours before, I'd say the issue is likely solved.
Thanks for addressing this so fast!
