Chihiros Aqua Soil Clumped

Dear Chihiros Support Team,

I recently purchased Chihiros Aqua Soil from a local store, but I’ve encountered a issue. The product was delivered to me already in a hardened, rock-like state, completely stuck, pressed, and clumped together. The granules are no longer loose and porous as expected, making it impossible to use as intended.

Despite applying significant manual force to try and break the soil apart, it remains as hard as a rock and does not separate. I’ve attempted to physically break the clumps, but they are so compressed and stuck together that it feels like trying to break through solid rock.

I’m concerned about whether this product is safe to use in my aquarium or defective, and I would appreciate your guidance on how to resolve this issue.

After waiting at room conditions for a day, the soil slowly began to dissolve and soften, at least the package shape fixed, but It is not granular and fluid yet. I keep It in the heat.

I'm not sure if It turned into rock under a very heavy load or if It got stuck in moisture.

I will wait for a day too and share the situation.
