Preset option usage

Hello my question is when would one use one of the preset like “green” “red” ? The preset intensity is really strong with high percentages in each color spectrum. Everything I read says that a tank doesn’t need all that power and intensity ? I have a custom 235 gallon bow front planted with co2. I started everything super low 30-40% and have been going up 5% a week. When would I switch to a preset that is a lot more intense ?

Start from 20%-30%, add about 5% each week for growth.
When the tank is mature, time to trim, you can use the Preset mode, and adjust it slightly.
