just set up a new Chihiros dosing pump and I cannot get any channels to prime.
Here’s what’s happening:
Could the heads be assembled incorrectly from the factory, over-tightened for shipping, or not properly engaging the drive mechanism?
Here’s what’s happening:
- The long central drive wheel inside the unit rotates when I run prime mode.
- However, the 3 rollers in each dosing head do NOT appear to rotate/compress the tubing.
- None of the channels will pull liquid at all.
- I cannot even manually suck/blow air through the tubing when it is installed in the pump head.
- If I disconnect the tubing from the pump head entirely, airflow through the tubing is normal.
- I removed the pump head covers and checked the tubing routing.
- All channels behave identically, which makes me think this is not just one bad head or simple priming.
- the central drive wheel is spinning
BUT - not actually engaging the roller assemblies in the dosing heads.
Could the heads be assembled incorrectly from the factory, over-tightened for shipping, or not properly engaging the drive mechanism?
