good morning guys, I have an aquarium set up for 4 months in iwagumi format 60x40x36 illuminated with a Chihiros WRGB 60 slim. the current setting includes 60-45-60 lighting with a photoperiod of 6 hours and a ramptime of 0.5 hrs. The tank is regularly fertilized with ADA products and has CO2 for 6 hours a day. opinions?

Hi all your settings are suitable now. We have few suggestions:
1. CO2 should ideally start about 1-2 hours before the lights turn on and shut off 1 hour before the lights turn off. This ensures CO2 levels are stable and at their peak when plants begin photosynthesis.
2. Once the tank matures (6-8 months), you could experiment with gradually increasing the photoperiod to 7-8 hours if the plants show no signs of stress and algae remains under control.
3. Regular water parameters tests to confirm stability.

can i ask you another opinion? your dealer in italy (bergamo) advised me today to set the lamp to 50% and to program a photoperiod of 12 hours of which 3 of sunrise and 3 of sunset. in his opinion a period of 5 hours makes no sense. judging from the beauty of his aquariums (beautiful) i might think he is right.

We recommend 6-8h with 0.5h sunrise/set.
